Calling all bc musicians
Music BC is excited to announce a first time partnership with Westward Music Festival, taking place this September across multiple Vancouver venues and newly added stage activations in Yaletown. As part of our commitment to fostering homegrown talent, Music BC is looking for 12 BC artists to play the Music BC stage at the Westward Street Party - a free outdoor concert series in Yaletown on September 13th and 14th. Selected artists will also showcase for international agents and buyers brought in for a number of Music BC How-To Series initiatives. .
Westward festival 2019
Vancouver’s premier multi-genre, multi-venue music festival returns to the heart of downtown Vancouver for its third year from September 12-15. The city’s largest four-day music festival spread across multiple venues will feature some of today’s most influential international music acts as well as many amazing local artists.
Application Process
Submit your application below to be considered for the Westward Music Festival's 2019 lineup.
Applications open July 16th and close July 30th at 5 PM.
Artists selected to perform will be decided by the festival.
Selected artists will be notified directly by email by Music BC.
Applications from all genres, genders, cultures and other measures of diversity are encouraged.

Rules & Regulations
- Majority of performing members must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada and must have resided in BC for a period of six months prior to and at the time of applying.
- Artist must be available to perform between September 12th - 15th, 2019 (performance date, time and location tbd).
- Artist must have an original 40-minute set
- Artist should have a current album or digital release (within the last 24 months, or upcoming 6 months).
- Costs associated with travel, lodging, and musician fees will be the responsibility of the Artist. Artist will receive a performance fee directly from the festival.
