If you're not one of the lucky few who are traveling the world, then no worries! We got a few local things up our sleeves for you to do!
Hikes
Starts at the bottom of Grouse Mountain or Lynn Headwaters Regional ParkPhoto Credit: Foggy Travels
This one is a tough one with steep rocky terrain and elevation changes, you have to be prepared! But don't let the steepness scare you off because the view at the top is breathtaking!
Starts at the bottom of Grouse MountainThis one is an obvious no brainer. Mother's Nature very own stair master! It's not exactly comparable to a relaxing stroll in the park but it sure will get your heartbeat racing and have you question your sanity midway!

Feeling like you need to get out and embrace nature but not embracing too much nature? Dog Mountain is perfect! Little elevation with a killer view at the end? It's perfect for those slow and easy catch up sessions and to take bomb Instagram photos at the end!
Starts at the yellow gate in Lions BayDon't be fooled! This one starts off as flat terrain but gradually ramps it up when you start winding up and around mountainsides and pass waterfalls.
Starts at Deep Cove

This one may remind you a little bit of the Grouse Grind at first due to the stairs but don't stress! It's nothing like the Grouse Grind! It's a sweet charming little walk that could be easily done within an hour and a half!
Starts at Lighthouse ParkKnown for being one of the most beautiful parks around, Lighthouse will surely steal your heart! Minimal elevation and open year round? That's basically a dream come true!
Starts at Rubble Creek parking lot just south of Whistler

Beautiful crystal blue waters and a stunning glacier back drop, it's no mystery why this is one is a must go during the summer.
Duffy Lake Road, north of Pemberton
The furthest in our list, but quite possibly our favourite, it's worth the trip to Joffre Lakes. You're blessed with a gorgeously ice crisp blue lake right off the bat (some people just peek at that and leave!) but as you continue the hike, you'll be pass one more beautiful lake before reaching the impossibly gorgeous, and largest, glacier-fed lake at the hike's peak.

If you get inspired to push your limits by being in groups, Wanderlust is for you. It's a massive yoga experience that accommodates yogis at all levels of their practices.

Located in the heart of Kits Beach, Kits Pool steals the show with it's fresh heated salt water! So if your little kiddies (or even you) don't want to worry about sand or deep waters, then this is the perfect alternative!
If you get too hot strolling around Queen Elizabeth Park, you don't have to worry about the temptation to jump into the duck pond or the water fountain. Hillcrest is just around the corner and it's got both an outdoor & indoor pool!

Nestled in Vancouver's favourite park, Second Beach Pool, it's the go-to spot to take the family so the kiddies can splash around in the heated waters while you soak up some rays while inhaling that fresh ocean breeze.
30ft pool. How can you say no? It's perfect for jumping in and cooling off during the hot summer days. If you're too tired, there's plenty of rocks for you cool off or warm up on!

If you get tired from walking the calming trails, the cool down and take a dip in their heated outdoor pool! With stunning views of the North Shore and Burrard Inlet, this one is hard to turn away from!

Cycling
Stanley Park

A beautiful relaxing little bike ride around the seawall.
It's also the perfect first date option too if you plan on renting out a tandem bike! You can paddle around and see Stanley Park at it's finest while getting to know each other. Hopefully you're partner isn't going to make you do all the work tho!
Burnaby MountainWith so many different trails to choose from, there's no way you can't find one you like! From sharp winding turns, steep and flowy single tracks, no matter what skill you are, there's something up there for you!
Starting from Spanish Banks

It may look unappealing to the eye at first due to the marsh like surroundings, but the beaches is the best park! Hidden along the low-slung North Arm Jetty’s south-facing shoreline, where logs are stacked in the for recovery, it's basically driftwood heaven!
Starting from Main Street-Science World Station to New Westminster StationThere's no better way to experience the different vibes through out Vancouver unless you go cruising down Central Valley Greenway. It's flat, smooth and most of the trail is even wheelchair accessible!
Starting from Science World to Kits Beach

Living in Vancouver definitely has it's perks, the stunning mountains, the awesome people and the sea wall. So hop on your bike and truly appreciate the beauty of the ocean by cruising from Science World all the way down to Kits!

Want to get away from the city but reality holding you back? Break free for just a few hours and admire the beautiful cityscape we call home while kayaking away from your problems. Or you can go at dusk and let the twinkling city lights mesmerize you!
Paddle through cool glassy waters and tap into your adventurous side. You can venture all the way to Squamish or navigate through the islands and discover secret waterfalls!

Being one of the most popular spots to kayak, it can get a little wild, but it's totally the struggle because the stunning views of Vancouver at it's finest as well as a perfect view of the north shore mountains.
Whether or not you're teaching young kids how to kayak or having them on board while you kayak, Deer Lakes calm and serene waters is perfect for the occasion!
